U.K.-based distributor DCD Rights has pre-sold the fourth season of New Zealand’s mystery drama “My Life Is Murder” to a raft of territories ahead of its Feb. 27 official launch at the London Screenings.
Starring Lucy Lawless (“Top of the Lake,” “Spartacus,” “Xena: Warrior Princess”), the series’ brand new season rights have been secured by YLE Finland, TV2 Denmark, Quebecor Content Canada and Yes DBS Israel.
Further buyers take in Profour Media Distribution for Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia, and NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-To-Consumer for Universal TV in Africa, 13ème Rue in France and Calle 13 in Spain.

“My Life Is Murder” is a Greenstone Pictures MLIM production for TVNZ, Acorn TV & DCD Rights, made with the assistance of the New Zealand Government’s Screen Production Rebate (NZSPR).
“’Lucy Lawless’ ability to deliver both comedy and drama in equal measure is one of the highlights of this classic murder mystery series. And, of course, the incredible New Zealand setting is a matchless character too,” said Rick Barker, head of sales at DCD Rights, the company recently acquired by Singapore-based 108 Media.
In the series, Lawless stars as Alexa Crowe, a retired detective who investigates suspects ranging from eccentric billionaires and grieving florists to tango dancers and fiery fashionistas.
Crowe works with her partner-in-crime-solving Madison (Ebony Vagulans), charismatic detective Harry (Rawiri Jobe) and café owner Reuben (Joe Naufahu).
“We are very pleased to see our global phenomenon ‘My Life Is Murder’ continue to have strong appeal with international broadcasters with series 1-4 selling to 90 territories and we very much look forward to screening this new series to buyers in London,” Barker added.
