NBC pact includes series of short features
The Summer Olympics from Athens will get an extra promotional push from TV Guide’s listing channel, which will help cable and satellite TV subscribers navigate through the 1,200 hours of coverage by NBC and its sister cable networks.
The deal between NBC and the TV Guide Television Group includes a series of short features on the Olympic athletes and individual events, which will run on the TV Guide Channel in the corner of the screen above the scroll of the listings.
And in its top-of-the-hour “What’s On” guide to primetime, the TV Guide channel will highlight the Olympics coverage each night between Aug. 13 and 29. And information on the events to be carried by MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo and Telemundo, as well as USA (if NBC and Universal complete their merger on time), will be available to TV Guide Channel viewers at the click of the remote.

As a quid pro quo, NBC will promote the TV Guide Channel with spots throughout its Olympics coverage, tipping off viewers that they can find lots of information about which network is covering what event, and when.
